(The Blarney Stone)

(Seattle Gum Wall)

(Oscar Wilde's Tomb)

(St. Mark's Place)

(Grauman's Chinese Theatre)

(Karni Mata Rat Temple)

(Friendly Monkey Valley)

(Glastonbury Festival)

(Any Children's Ball Pool)

(CBGB's toilets)

Blarney Stone Tops 'Germiest Attractions'
Travel Site Lists Top 5 Germ-Laden World Destinations

If you're on your way to kiss the Blarney Stone in Ireland,

you best not think of all the others who have laid their lips

upon that stone before you.

The stone, which attracts 400,000 kissers each year,

tops TripAdvisor's list of the "top 5 germiest world attractions."

The list, which was determined by TripAdvisor editors and travelers,

couldn't come at a better time, as more and more travelers

say they are concerned about germs.

According to a recent tripadvisor.com poll of more than 4,600 travelers,

34 percent of travelers reported being more "germaphobic"

by washing and disinfecting their hands more frequently

when traveling since the swine flu outbreak.(自從豬流感爆發)

Additionally, TripAdvisor forums indicate that travelers

have got germs on the brain, with use of the words "germs,"

"sanitizer," and "disease" up 97 percent, 182 percent, and 112 percent,

respectively, between March and May of 2009 compared to the same period in 2008.

As for the other attractions that round out the list:

No. 2: Seattle's Wall of Gum, where those waiting

to get into the Market Theatre in Post Alley

have left their chewed gum since the 1990s.

No. 3: Oscar Wilde's Tomb in Paris
, where it's tradition for visitors

to leave lipstick prints by kissing the tombstone.

No. 4: St. Mark's Square in Venice, Italy, which sometimes seems

to have more dirty pigeons than human visitors.

No. 5: The celebrity handprints and footprints outside Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
