祝賀用法 I wish you much happiness.(祝您幸福快樂。)

DIALOG（向新郎、新娘祝賀）

A: Cathy, I wish you much happiness.

凱西，祝妳幸福快樂。

B: Peter, congratulations.

彼得，恭喜。

C: Cathy, Peter is so lucky to have “won” a girl like you.

凱西，彼得能娶到像妳這樣的女孩子，實在是太幸運了。

D: Cathy and Peter, my best wishes to you!

凱西、彼得，衷心祝你們幸福快樂。

解說Usage

大家對Congratulations. 應該都很熟悉，但請注意，

並不是所有表達「恭喜」的場合都可以用這個字。

Congratulations. 基本上是對因努力而成功的人所說的祝福話，

因此對新人說這句話時，就有「做得太好了」的含意。

一般而言，對熟人說Congratulations. 不會出什麼問題。

要注意的是，在英語系國家中，Congratulations. 通常是對新郎說的，而不是對新娘。

最安全的說法是I wish you much happiness. 或My best wishes to you.，

這兩句都可以對新郎或新娘說。

〈I wish ＋人＋目的〉可以應用在各種祝福的場合中，

例如much happiness（幸福）、good health（健康）、

good luck（幸運）、success（成功）、a speedy recovery（早日康復）等。
