Brian: Well, … promise me you won't laugh at me!

Jocelyn: I promise.

but none of my friends ever likes to go with me 
since we are all not that young anymore.

Kevin and his new American girlfriend are at a large theme park for the day.
I: We’ve already gone on the swingingboat ride six times!

Let’s try something else.
K: But there’s almost no line.
I: It’s so hot out today.

We should go on the log ride to cool down a bit.
K: All right, but if the line looks long, I might give up.
