「家」提供庇護與溫暖，每日辛勤工作後，
我們總希冀儘快回家休憩；遊子漂泊四處，
最渴望的仍是回到自己的家。
是故，西方諺語對「家」的讚頌極為傳神：
「金窩，銀窩，不如自家窩」

（There is no place like home./No place like home/East or west, home is the best.）。

然而，旅遊的日子裡，遊客如何保有如身處甜蜜的家那種fu呢？

那得借助於旅館（hotel）了！

畢竟旅館提供服務與設施（service and facilities），致力於營造賓至如歸之感。

旅館服務不勝枚舉：

提行李及客房導引（helping guests take luggage and guiding them to their rooms）、

客房服務（room service）、

代客洗燙衣物或乾洗（valet laundry and dry-cleaning）、

房務整理（housekeeping）、

代客泊車（valet parking）、

機場、飯店間之交通安排（transfer service）、

晨喚服務（wake-up call service）、

貨幣兌換（currency exchange/money changing）、

傳真，影印，訂票或觀光服務（fax/photocopying/ticket/sightseeing service）等。

設施則有迎賓櫃檯（front desk）、
詢問/服務台（information desk）、
行李寄存（luggage storage）、
商務中心（business center）、
客房（hotel bedrooms）、
置物保險箱（safety-deposit box/safe deposit box）、
報紙（newspapers）、
冷、暖空調設施（air/heating conditioning）、
室內、外游泳池（indoor/outdoor swimming pools）、
酒吧與餐廳（bars and restaurants）、
會議/宴會/大型活動設施（meeting/banquet/event facilities）、
健身房（gym/fitness center）、
美容院（beauty salon）等，種種服務與設施，
讓人一入住旅館隨即有家的感覺。
